Passengers flying to Lanzarote with easyJet will soon be able to get online during the journey. The airline has signed a deal with Starlink, the satellite internet service run by SpaceX, and will begin fitting its aircraft with wi-fi in the first half of 2027.

The warm weather carries on into the last week of October, with highs of 26 to 28°C every day and nights that barely drop below 20°C. Monday and Tuesday are the warmest at 28°C, and Friday looks the brightest day of the week.

It was a record-breaking September for Lanzarote's hotels. Income reached €71.4 million, the highest ever for the month and 12.5% more than the €63.5 million earned a year ago, according to the Cabildo's Centro de Datos.

Wednesday could be a damp day in Lanzarote and La Graciosa. A DANA is sitting to the west of the Canary Islands, and AEMET expects it to bring cloud, showers and possibly a thunderstorm.

A Lanzarote buggy and quad tour company is preparing to take two of the island's authorities to court. H20 Sports says the Cabildo and the council in Teguise have failed to set out where tours like its own can legally drive, and that the gap has left the business facing threats and sabotage.

Mountain bikers are heading back to the south of the island next month, as the Yaiza Extremo Sur returns to Playa Blanca on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November. This will be the seventh time the event has been held.

Lanzarote has a warm, settled week ahead, with the AEMET forecast giving highs of 26 to 29°C from Monday through to Sunday and mild nights of 20 to 22°C.

Visitors to Lanzarote could one day pay a small charge for each night they stay, if a proposal from the political party Nueva Canarias gets off the ground. Nothing has been decided yet, and the idea is part of the party's campaign ahead of the island and regional elections in May 2027.

Jet2 carried more than two and a half million people to the Canary Islands this year, and around 420,000 of those seats were on summer flights into Lanzarote. In the busiest months that meant roughly 70 Jet2 flights a week landing at the island's airport.

Holidaymakers in Belgium will have more ways to reach Lanzarote in summer 2027, with TUI adding new services to the island as part of its biggest airline-led summer programme so far.
