On Wednesday, 4th February, 2015, Artist Paco Curbelo and his students from the School of Art Pancho Lasso have installed a Camel family, a giant sized male, a female and a baby camel made out of red picon stone on iron structures, together weighing about 3000 kilos, at the roundabout of LZ-2 road.
El Quemao Class 2015 is an International Surf and Bodyboarding Competition being held for the first time in La Santa, Lanzarote, over the weekend of 7th March and 8th March 2015. Through this event, a tribute will be paid to David Infante, popularly called "El Fula" by his friends, who died on the 1st January 2014 while surfing the reknowned wave of "El Quemao" in Lanzarote. El Fula will be paid tribute by lighting 700 chinese lanterns.
