  1. NATIONAL PARK OF TIMANFAYA: The National Park of Timanfaya is a great place to take a camel ride, visit the TIMANFAYA, fire mountain to see most of the 300 craters and volcanoes that this island has, one of which is still active!!!! Watch the green lagoon at El Golfo, the salt pans of Janubio and have lunch in a picturesque, typical Lanzarote village, followed by tasting the best Malvasia wine in La Geria, the unique wine district of Lanzarote.
  2. Cesar Manrique : Before going to the Cesar Manrique Foundation, one must visit the Guinate Tropical Park in the north of the island, which is home to many tropical birds from around the world. Guinate has a viewpoint too which overlooks the Chinijo Islands of La Graciosa, Montaña Clara and Alegranza. Enjoy a scrumptious lunch in a small fishing village and later Experience Jameos del Agua, designed by the genius Cesar Manrique. He transformed the lava tunnel and the cave into subterranean walkways, an auditorium and a volcanic museum. End the day by visiting the César Manrique Foundation, where you can see how the artist adapted five volcanic bubbles into rooms of his house. A collection of his paintings and architectural designs are also exhibited.
  3. The Teguise Market : The Sunday Teguise market is one of the oldest markets of the island, with over 2000 stalls selling everything from hand crafted local products, souvenirs and more. Enjoy live Canarian music and street performances along with some traditional food and wine.
  4. Puerto Del Carmen Carnival : Come celebrate the Carnival in Puerto del Carmen before lent starts and the theme every year is different, so be sure to see amazing floats, extravagant costumes and masks, music, dance and utter fun and excitement. Don't miss the burial of sardines on Ash Wednesday, a very old Spanish tradition.
  5. Museo Atlantico : This is still under construction, but is expected to be open sometime in 2015. Museo Atlantico will be Europe's first underwater museum, and British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor and his team are working very hard to arrange Taylor's ensembles on the seabed off Las Coloradas Beach, near the popular resort of Playa Blanca. The cement artworks are designed to attract plant life and colonies of sea creatures, keeping the flora and fauna of the sea intact. Visitors can view the sculptures and the sea life around it from a submarine or a glass-bottomed boat, or swim and snorkel around the sculptures.
  6. Cine 6D : At Cine 6D you can view 3D movies , sitting in a mini theater, strapped to a chair and your feet dangling, that's not scary, that's fun, since they have Dazzling 3D graphics, flight simulation technology, in-theater special effects and world class digital sound to make you feel like you’re really there!!! You can choose from their list of 10 movies and experience everything from a dinosaur about to bite into you, wind blowing in your face, water splashing on you, weightless roll and even snow in the fantastic penguin adventure. That's a fantastic experience not to be missed.
  7. Wine Tasting : Visit El Grifo Wine Museum or Museo del Vino de El Grifo, it is on a volcanic rock which has old wineries built in 1775. See the barrel-making workshop by Rafael Corujo de Leon, have a taste of the wine and cheese in the Wine Tasting Room or El Salon de la Cata. Visit the local wineries called “Bodegas” in La Geria region or the wine valley of La Geria and see how locals cultivate their wine in an ingenious way.
  8. Lanzarote Paradise Watersports: Lanzarote is a paradise for water sports with warm Atlantic waters where water temperatures rarely go below 19 degrees Celsius all year round. You can do surfing, kite surfing, wind surfing, sailing, swimming, scuba diving, game fishing, parascending, go on submarine safaris and marine excursions too.
  9. Ironman 70.3 : For all sport lovers, the Ironman 70.3 also known as the Half Triathlon Marathon happens sometime in September in Lanzarote. The race includes a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) swim, 56-mile (90 km) bike ride, and 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run.
  10. Rancho Texas Park Lanzarote : Rancho Texas Animals Park, is not just an animal park. Apart from enjoying the live Bird of Prey Show, the Parrot show and the Cheeky Sea Lion Show you can swim along with the Sea Lions too. Cool off in the SPLASH ZONE and twist down massive slides. During Halloween they have a really spooky Halloween costume party with lip smacking BBQ to hog on along with some sangria beer.
