The fifth Ocean Lava Lanzarote Olympic Distance Triathlon and The Ocean Lava Planet Long Distance Triathlon was held on 1st November from the local beach Playa del Reducto in Arrecife . It is a unique event with the volcanic landscape in the background and warm climate all year round and crystal clear waters.

Excursions Lanzarote

There was The Ocean Lava Planet Long Distance Triathlon, 3 km swim, a 120km bike which was followed by much of the Ironman route and a 30km run. The shorter Olympic distance also included some challenging climbs on the bike, with 1.5 km swim, 42 km bike and 10km run. At the start, about 250 people were on the Olympic and 175 over the long haul.

 It was an incredible race, with lots of International athletes participating in it. There was also the kid’s event on Sunday the 2nd November 2014 which also went well.
