The challenge of meeting new people and expanding your personal network just got a lot easier for ladies in Lanzarote. Its great to be able to share a “good news” story for the island and in particular for Businesswomen newly arrived here or those who are long-time residents that simply want to share and grow their business contacts.

L4B (Links For Business), is a Business Referral Group that was created in August 2014 by Lanzarote’s entrepreneurs Janet Harper and Elisabeth Clancy, providing a platform that connects business individuals by bringing them together in small groups at local venues, expanding social networking through face-to-face interaction.

The main goal of L4B is to create meaningful face-to-face interactions and great conversations that people cannot get through other mediums. The structure is extremly well organised, with ground rules as guidelines for members to work with. Many nationalities are represented in the group already, with the common language being English – the integration and blend of different cultures is creating an atmosphere of unity and mutual support, so often lacking in modern-day business practices.

The program is especially useful for newcomers to Lanzarote, helping them connect with other people who are more familiar to the ins-and-outs of the island. Janet and Elisabeth have begun working with business women in several companies to promote L4B to their new and old clients and contacts who have relocated to the area. Theories suggest that people who build a healthy business network within a geographic area are more likely to stay in that region – which has to be good for the ongoing economical growth and stability here on the island. L4B founders believe that, by helping to create social connections, their service can also improve business growth for companies that participate within their group.

The group for the past several months L4B has been meeting at the Lanzarote Language School (LILS) in Puerto del Carmen on Monday evenings from 6.15 pm until 7.45 pm. There are several members already working together and have already generated several thousands of €’s in revenue for it’s members.

L4B are organising an official Launch event in Lanzarote on Monday 17 November - from 6.15pm till 7.45pm at The Costa Sal Resort in Matagorda. There is an open invitation to all businesswomen on the island to attend this event whether they are long term in business or a new business start up, to come along and see for themselves how the group could benefit their business and significantly improve their chances of success.

To confirm attendance please contact Janet Harper [email protected] mobile 699 575 178 or Elisabeth Clancy [email protected] mobile 679 728 351

Be sure to bring lots of business cards as it is likely through the structure of this meeting that you may meet with someone you could do business with !!
