This cultural night is set in La Villa de Teguise with expectations of more than 6,000 people who will fill the streets of the Old Town. This event is being promoted by the City of Teguise in collaboration with the local businesses.

In 2012 "The White Night", Teguise was awarded as an event for Distinguished Tourism in the Events category in favor of Island Tourism. The event will see lots of programs that will start at 4 pm and aims to draw street culture, as explained by the head of Culture and Celebrations, Olivia Duque, in a conference held on 30th June, 2015 in the Plaza of the Constitution, known as Plaza de Los Leones.

There will be cultural and sports activities for all ages, parade through the different squares and streets of the town in the afternoon. About 10 at night, an explosion of batucadas and extras will announce the official start of a night of concerts by all bars and downtown restaurants.

At the conference, The Mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, said that the "White Night" is "A party full of magic". He added that "the night will shine on Teguise, not just because the event successfully attracted large number of visitors in the previous editions, but because the event has a family atmosphere and the desire to enjoy a magical evening at one of the points of the island's heritage and cultural tradition of the Canary Islands". The Mayor also said "Precisely because of the strong family nature of the event, we want to reign civility and respect for our environment."

The "White Night" gives everyone a beautiful chance for tourists coming to Lanzarote, to have a relaxed family holiday along with residents of Teguise, enjoying music, culture and historical heritage. The essence of a sleepless night, with the opening of shops, restaurants and museums, and a range of activities on the street also shows how safe Lanzarote is.

The Mayor also said "This one day will have a very special inauguration which will mark the cultural agenda of 2018, year in which Teguise celebrates its 600 -year history". On 3rd July 2015, i.e., Friday afternoon, the office of the House of Culture will open from where tours depart to the historic town of Teguise, so that those who visit the town from other parts of the island, other islands and countries, know first hand about its historical and cultural heritage.

According to Mr. Oswaldo Betancort, comprehensive Security and Transport Plan has been designed for the "White Night" event, since Teguise will also see huge traffic because the European Basketball Championship begins from 2nd July 2015 and goes on till 12th July 2015 in the Hall of Teguise.

The plan also has taken into account parking spaces, as well as extended hours of Guagua bus from Arrecife to La Villa de Teguise, on Friday 3rd July, with special hours of 19.00, 21.00 and 23.00 ; and return schedule on Saturday 4th July, at 00.00, 02.00 and 04.00 hours, with the location of the stops in Teguise: stop Avenida Gran Aldea, Tebete Street intersection and stopping down the la Calle José Fajardo Morales.
