Fun Activities To Do With Kids In Lanzarote Fun Activities To Do With Kids In Lanzarote

Are you planning your next luxury escape to Lanzarote? But your main concern is holidaying with kids and deciding what fun activities you could do with the family, since you can't keep the kids locked up in the hotel all the time, no matter how good the entertainment in the hotel is.

Excursions Lanzarote

You might be wondering:

How do I plan the holiday? We have made your life easier, by researching on Trip Advisor UK and Virtual Tourist on what kids activities you could enjoy the most in Lanzarote as a family.

Now many of the Trip Advisor reviews by real travellers suggest:

That families cannot be hanging around the hotel pools and hotel entertainment areas the whole day

You need to go out and enjoy more

That is why you are on a holiday, right!!!

Want to know the best part:

Our simple list of things to do with kids will make sure you get the most out of your holiday and have fun and memorable days out with kids:

Look at Excursions:

Rancho Texas is always a good day for both younger and older children and families. Enjoy the live Bird of Prey Show, the Parrot show and the Cheeky Sealion Show. There is even a chance to swim with the sealions!

Grand Tour is what Lanzarote is all about, a combination of the highlights from the north and the south, kids don't like long and boring tours and so this one will keep them entertained, don't miss the AWWWW the kids make at the extravaganza where the water turns to steam when it bursts out of a hole on the Timanfaya Fire mountains. There are couple of fun activities for toddlers like taking a picture with a Camel and yes where they spot the blind albino crab in Jameos Del Agua.

Atlantic Adventure Boat Excursion is a fabulous midday adventure sailing aboard a glass bottomed boat and take a refreshing dip at the famous Papagayo beaches. If you have older kids then you could also feel the sheer thrill of the banana boat or try your hand at snorkeling and kayaking.

Submarine Safaris is for kids over 2 years, they love this excursion, capture the moment when they jump in excitement spotting the shimmering Barracuda and the majestic Stingray.

Aquapark Costa Teguise is the biggest and most established water park in Lanzarote in Costa Teguise. Slides, pools, crazy rivers, chill out zones, something for everyone.

AquaLava Playa Blanca is the newest aqua park in Lanzarote, Aqualava is situated in the Lanzasur Club hotel and has a range of fast twisting slides for big kids and adults and great area for smaller children. Crazy rivers, lazy rivers, chill out zones and much more.

Enjoy at the Cinema:

6D Cinema is in the new Marina, Arrecife next to Burger King. Only €5 for a film and there is a special 6D tour flying over lanzarote which is €10 and €5 if under 16 years. There are 10 amazing films to choose from for families with both younger and older kids.

Laze around on the Beaches:

Obviously time on the beaches for kids is the best. There are some beaches like Playa Chica in Puerto del Carmen, Playa Flamingo in Playa Blanca and Playa Bastian in Costa Teguise, where children can run around and make castles without getting bored. Please do be careful with little children getting too close to the water and make sure they are fully hydrated and protected from the sun.

Avoid Baby sitting services:

Some hotels offer baby sitting services but we do not recommend it, since there have been many accidents which you may be aware of.

Play Areas are always fun:

There are many many play areas around all resorts with slides and more if you had to stay in the hotel for any reason. It is also important to get to know the area around the hotel you are staying at for restaurants, hospitals, attractions, beaches and more, a handy web tool is an interactive Lanzarote map.

We hope that you have fun holidays in Lanzarote and a safe family travel back home.
