Just 2 more days for Christmas and Lanzarote is more than ever in a Christmassy mood.

There are lots of things to do this Christmas, lots of Christmas and New Year food to hog on and lots of partying to do.

Excursions Lanzarote

To start with, Tekkers are supporting the Breast Cancer aid, for which they are holding their 3rd Annual Xmas Fayre on Saturday 13th December from 19:00. There is lot of entertainment to look forward to like Lanzadance Kids performing, Bratwurst sausage mulled wine, guest singers bingo.

On Sunday 14th December, The Kennel Klub Christmas Fayre will be held at The Concord Bar on Calle Mastil in Playa Honda from 10:00 until 14:00. Good place to support a charity, buy those Christmas Gifts you have been wanting to, christmas decorations, stocking fillers, clothes starting from just €1. What more, Santa will be visiting, so kids are happy too.
On 15th December, Monday there will be a Christmas Voices Carol Concert in the village church of Teseguite staring at 19:00. If you miss the concert on 15th, you can catch another concert of Christmas Voices Carol on 17th December, in the church of Playa Blanca starting at 16:00.
If you are for a Christmas on the Sea, then Catlanza is having the Gold family Catlanza from 17th December 2014 till 6th January 2015. Santa also will be paying a visit too with a present for every kid on board, so kids will love this unique experience. Sail Along!!!

From 19th to 21st December, the 2nd market of the I FERIA DE NAVIDAD “HUELLAS DE NAVIDAD – 2014” will be held in the car park area of C.C. Nautical Calipso. Lots of entertainment to look forward for like artisan crafts food stalls, live music on stage, theatre Christmas films to be viewed for the three nights with free popcorn at 19:00 every evening. Films include The Nightmare Before Christmas on Saturday and The Grinch on Sunday. There will be Carol Singing performance “Christmas Voices” starting at 20:00 on Friday 19th December, followed by a concert with 3 bands including 80 Pavos Bazooka. On Saturday, there will be live music party night concert by the 3 Bridies performing an all girl acoustic set, followed by Bazooka, Dolly Tapes and The Skatoons starting at at 23:00. To close on Sunday, 21st December there will be a Christmas theatre production.
On 19th December there is also a Christmas street procession called Pasacalle Navideños through the commercial centre of Tías with Batucada Sur Caliente and Escuela de Teatro starting at 18:30.

Just a day before Christmas, you must not miss the Santa Dive on 24th December, in Costa Teguise, there will be lots of Santas on Christmas Eve, if you fancy becoming a diver, you are welcome to join them.
The 3rd Edition of Christmas Fair or FERIA DE NAVIDAD “HUELLAS DE NAVIDAD – 2014” is from 26th – 28th December, held on the promenade lots of Art and craft food stalls.
On New Year’s Eve 31st December, there will be a traditional 5km called San Silvestre run, from 16:00 at Plaza de Las Naciones in Puerto del Carmen. And after the run, you could head off to the New Year’s on the Puerto del Carmen harbour from 23:30 with a firework display over Playa Grande at 01:00. What a great way to ring in the new year!!!
Once you are over the New Year’s party, you could head over to the Rastro Christmas Market, held from 2nd – 4th January, 2015 in the plaza of Haría. Stalls sell good quality second hand goods crafts, so could dig in some antics and treasures!!! There will be brilliant entertainment too in the form of circus festival Malabharía the market.
Or you could head on to the Christmas Fair, held from 2nd – 4th January in C.C. Las Cucharas with a range of arts and crafts food stalls.
Don’t miss the Kings Processions on 5th January to end the Christmas and New Year celebrations, where you will see Kings on camels!!!

Whether you are a tourist or a resident, wouldn’t it be fun to for once let others do all the hard work for Christmas and New Year Menus.

Why not go to Barstro in Nazaret? They have two Christmas party menus which lead up to Christmas, Christmas Day and New Year. There will also be a Special Christmas menu for kids.

La Tegala in Mácher also are going all the way with 5 menus pre Christmas celebration and New Year’s Eve. To reserve call 928 524 524.

Costa Sal in Matagorda too have two sittings, one at 14:30 and another at 17:30 for the Christmas Menu on Christmas Day. For New Year’s Eve, they have a champagne reception, gala buffet, disco and fireworks display, to make sure your evening is a memorable one.
