There were quite a few esteemed audience for the occasion like the President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Pedro San Ginés, who welcomed and thanked everyone who participated in this long process, all workers of the Centers , and especially, to Toñín Ramos, Isabel Betancort and José Juan Lorenzo . He said, "the challenge is to work for this unique space in the world back to host premier cultural shows and events and conferences that project our image, and the island in International Tourism markets."
The auditorium echoed with the first chords of Tempo Lanzarote, a creation of Roberto Fuentes and the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote, produced by the Centers for Arts, Culture and Tourism.
The musical story of Lanzarote was recited in three chapters with a careful use of stage and soundtrack, which includes six unreleased tracks.The First chapter showed pirate attacks and raids carried out by Morato Arráez in 1563. A boat glides from Barbary reaching the coast of Lanzarote, where Arráez and his men commit their misdeeds.
The second chapter shows the demon of Timanfaya bombarding with a sea of lava destroying everything in its path between the years 1730-1736, burying up to nine villages. The Arrorró was passionately played by Beni Ferrer. Also timple Benito Cabrera and clarinet Ayoze Rodríguez collaborated superbly dramatically.
Third chapter of the show was joyous and showed developments in agriculture, sea , tourism and triumphs of César Manrique in promoting Lanzarote.
When the show ended, there was a standing ovation from the 400 odd audience acknowledging the hard work and great performance of the fourteen musicians and fifteen actors, in addition to efforts for technical lighting, images and sound, which shaped the Tempo Lanzarote, sponsored by Tecnosound .
On 6th December, at 21.30, Tempo Lanzarote performed for the second time in the Auditorium of the Jameos del Agua, in celebration of the re-opening of the Auditorium.
