On Monday, the Lanzarote Chamber of Commerce issued a statement saying that the Lanzarote promenade or boardwalk will span from Costa Teguise to Puerto del Carmen, Arrecife the capital, in the center, Playa Honda, allowing a walk and bike path between these two tourist resorts, also connecting to the Arrecife port and Lanzarote airport.
The Lanzarote Promenade will be 26.63 kilometers long along the coast and beach with a beautiful scenic path, breaking the record of Longest Boardwalk at La Coruna’s at 13 kilometers and 9.25 Atlantic City in the US state of New Jersey.
Presently, work is pending between the Maritime Institute of Fisheries and Puerto Naos, and another in the area of the Punta de los Vientos.
The Chamber considers that this “big project will make Lanzarote promenade very attractive for athletes, residents and visitors, who can enjoy biking, running or skating. The ease of connection between the three major Lanzarote resorts will not only boost tourism for the region but will promote clean and eco-friendly mobility without CO2".
Lanzarote Promenade will be a huge Lanzarote Attraction, giving you another point of interest in Lanzarote. We will keep you posted on when the path will be open for public, till then stay tuned.
