The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has predicted yellow (risk) in the Canary Islands for winds that can reach gusts up to 90 mph and adverse coastal phenomena with waves up to five meters.
The AEMET highlighted that yesterday the trade winds were intensified signifying Orange alert, causing the first wind warnings and coastal phenomena.
The eastern islands of Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote have yellow (risk), where the wind will blow from the northeast, affecting mainly oriented northwest coast and southeast as well as midlands and highlands, dropping the temperatures few notches down, so it may get cooler.
The north and west coasts of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura could see waters reaching 4 or 5 meters.
