It is the third oldest national park in Spain and you can reach the top and experience the various shades of brown and the volcanic shapes in a Teide Cable Car ride. The Teide National Park is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO because of its unique and diverse flora and fauna, another World Heritage site in the Canary Islands is the Timanfaya National Park in Lanzarote.
