The sculptures will be sunk into the Atlantic ocean on Sunday, January 31st 2016, from 11.00 am in a public ceremony, according to the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Pedro San Gines, and the Minister of Tourism, Government of Canarias, Maria Teresa Lorenzo, who held a meeting in Madrid last week.
On January 31st, the immersions will be of 35 human sculptures walking toward the same destination, a door that opens to the Atlantic Museum; The other sculptures are of Los Jolateros, a group of children in their traditional boats of brass; then a couple taking a selfie, all these reflect new technologies and self-referentiality; Hybrid sculptures, fusing nature and humanity, and photographers.
Those who would like to see the immersions can do so in the esplanade (open space) of the Castillo del Aguila or Castillo del Coloradas in Playa Blanca and also take in the spectacular views of the bay of Coloradas this point.
