The Festival Gastronomico - Tasting Lanzarote will be held at Villa de Teguise in Teguise, making it the most awaited food festivals. The best part of this festival is that you will get to taste the dishes by top chefs from all of Lanzarote. Some of the big names are of top celebrity chefs, Germán Blanco, Pedro Santana, Luis León, Orlando Ortega and Juan Jesús Perdomo.
The chefs would be presenting their best dishes to thousands of visitors at the food festival. Another fabulous detail of this festival is that they would be picking their ingredients from "Market Producer", featuring local produce.
On 23rd November, during the Show Cooking schedule, at the Lilium restaurant, Chef Germán Blanco created mouth watering dishes with ceviche, chillies and coriander sprouts, banana with caviar. The chef will have the company of Tenerife based chef, Joshua Mendoza. Luis Leon elaborated his dish with mushrooms stuffed with ecological prawns, green sprouts and passion fruit, creating an explosion of flavor. He will accompany Jonathan Armengoa, a food critic. Pedro Santana's dish had millet broth with brine, he will accompany Lucas May from Tenerife over the weekend. Orlando Ortega, in recognition of the traditional cuisine, delighted the audience with a spray of green wheat with green asparagus. He will be accompanied by Alex de la Nuez from Gran Canaria to give taste to all who come to Teguise, which may be one of the most spectacular dishes of the day, a Stew Carpaccio. Juan Jesus Perdomo, displayed his creativity, by exhibiting the 'cup' from organic potato with tomato and mojo. He will be accompanied by chef David Perez from La Palma.
