Playa Blanca Playa Blanca

Playa Blanca, Lanzarote is one of the most popular destinations for tourists, located on the south of the island. Playa Blanca translates in english as “White Beach”, and so the beaches along its coast have beautiful white sand. Playa Blanca runs a dedicated bus service called “Guagua” within the village to various beaches and tourist attractions with a frequency of half an hour.

Excursions Lanzarote

Playa Blanca beach is small and can become crowded, a little distance away there are two more beaches, Playa Dorada and Playa Flamingo which are less crowded. These beaches are well sheltered and ideal for sunbathing and swimming.

Around 2 kms away from these beaches one can also enjoy and relax at the popular Papagayo beaches. There is the Marina Rubicon, a bustling sea-front attraction with restaurants, bars, designer boutiques and more, next to the modest number of luxury yachts and boats.

From Playa Blanca, the many tourist attractions are easily accessible like the Timanfaya National Park, La Geria, Janubio salt flats, El Golfo (the green lagoon), Los Hervideros or the charming village of Yaiza. Playa Blanca does not offer much of nightlife, but not far away from it, Papagayo has lots of discos and karaoke bars, with many open till wee hours of the morning.

However, Playa Blanca is more of a place to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches and calm waters and many of the restaurants, hotels and self-catering villas also provide you with the opportunity to enjoy the various international culinary delicacies.
