This year the event has shifted from Puerto Del Carmen to Arrecife because the festivities this year are expected to be bigger and better, with around 6000 visitors expected in the huge 70 meter tent in Arrecife, it is sure going to be a fun event, with the live music, games, entertainment and lots of traditional German food and beer.

There will be lots to choose from when it comes to German specialties like Coffee and Cake, Munich White Sausage, Potato Noodles, Breaded Scallop, Meat Loaf, Roast Chicken, Loin steak roll with white cabbage, Grilled Sausage and Fried Mushrooms. There will be plenty to drink too from local beers, wines, spirits, mojitos, smoothies, Paulaner Hefe-Weizen (Wheat Beer with a hint of banana and pepper), Jagermeister (a herbal liqueur) and Obstler ( Fruit brandy) are some of the drinks you can look forward to from the Beer Keller.

There will be lots of activities for kids too with sufficient space to play. There will be lots of German entertainment in the big tent with performances by Bands and artists like Duo in Flagranti, Fabio Gandolfo, Driven Big Band, Daniela Dilow, Six Five Zero and Schlagerfuzzi Wolle and also a Magic Show and Drag and Comedy Show. There will be a Concert Night featuring The Skatoons and Emisora Clandestina.

The Mayor of Arrecife will be at the Opening Ceremony to officially start the festivities (or the beer flowing!!!). Check out the times for the event here.

The Oktoberfest is something you must not miss, you will get to enjoy the Bavarian/German festival under Lanzarote sun, which is just phenomenal!!!
