Temperatures barely move all week. Days reach 26 or 27°C, nights drop no lower than 19°C, and apart from Thursday the chance of rain stays at 15 per cent or less. No AEMET warnings are listed for Lanzarote.
The UV index is 5 to 6, moderate to high, and Monday's cloud won't stop you burning. Use factor 30 or higher, top it up after a swim, and keep a hat on through the middle of the day.
Tuesday is the day to plan around for the beach, with the most sunshine and a moderate easterly breeze. Wednesday is just as bright, though the wind is a little stronger.
From Wednesday the breeze comes from the east and north east, so Costa Teguise and the east coast will feel it most by the weekend. For a calmer spot on Friday and Saturday, head south to Playa Blanca or Puerto del Carmen.
Showers on Thursday
Thursday's showers are likely to be brief, and plenty of the island may stay dry. Keep a light jacket with you, and if a shower does arrive, the Cueva de los Verdes, the Lanzarote Aquarium and the art museum at the Castillo de San José in Arrecife are all indoors. Our guide to attractions in Lanzarote has more ideas. If you have a boat trip booked for Saturday, check with the operator that morning, as the sea will be choppier.
A Good Week for Walking
Monday's cloud and light wind make it the most comfortable day for a long walk or a hike around Timanfaya and La Geria, where the volcanic ground soaks up the heat on sunnier days. Evenings stay warm at around 20°C, so a light layer is all you need for dinner outside.
