Carnival 2016 in Lanzarote will be even more energetic than last year, and it is a great time to come and enjoy the carnival with your family.

San Bartolomé: Tuesday, 9th February 2016

Puerto del Carmen: 11th February - 14th February 2016, Parade: Saturday, 13th February 2016

Costa Teguise: Saturday, 20th February 2016 , Parade: 20th February 2016, Theme : "Arabian Nights"

Tinajo: 19 - 21st February 2016 , Parade: 20th February 2016

Haria: 26 - 28th February 2016 , Parade: 27th February 2016, Theme: "the Enchanted Forest".

Playa Blanca: Saturday, 8th March 2016, Parade; 5th March 2016

Only, the Carnival of Puerto Del Carmen has confirmed dates and poster of the event by the Ayuntamiento of Tias, which is great news, along with another excellent news that the Carnival of Puerto Del Carmen 2015 has also bagged the Distinguished Tourism Award 2015 in the 'Event' category, awarded on the occasion of World Tourism Day by the Cabildo of Lanzarote.

According to the Councillor for Tourism, Amado Vizcaino, "this award is especially dedicated to the murgas (musical groups) and carnival participants that make the event a success, not only in the Municipality of Tías, but throughout the island". Vizcainio also added that "The Carnival of Puerto del Carmen attracts every year many tourists who also schedule their vacation on the island coincides with the dates of this popular festival to spread the joy and fun and enjoy the carnival in person."
