High Temperatures Halt Outdoor Activites

According to a Press Release by the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote

Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote (El Consorcio de Sequridad y Emergencias de Lanzarote) have said that the Directorate General of Security and Emergency Canary Islands Government (la Dirección General de Seguridad y Emergencias del Gobierno de Canarias) have raised the alert for High Temperatures and maximum UV Index in Lanzarote and neighboring islands, especially between 10:00 am to 18:00 pm on Tuesday 12th May and Wednesday 13th May.

Keeping in mind the hot temperatures all outdoor activities have been cancelled ffor Tuesday and Wednesday. In case of emergencies numbers to be contacted are 112 (or 080 of the Consortium).

The Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote have also layed out some guidelines to stay protected from the sun - Safety Guidelines.
