The AEMET, the Spanish Meteorological Department is continuing to give heat warnings in mainland Spain and the Canary Islands.

Excursions Lanzarote

According to the AEMET, the Canary Islands are going to be rather hot this week, with temperatures rising up to 35ºC and more. Apart from the high UV index of 10, there is also warning of heavy seas in the Canaries with strong gusts of wind blowing from Africa.

Keeping in mind the hot temperatures, do not forget your hat, sunglasses, SPF 50 sunscreen lotion applied every 2 hours and enough water to keep you hydrated before you venture out in the sun. Avoid doing on hill tops where there are hot winds, which may dehydrate you.

To keep things cool, it is best to stay in cool places and do activities which will keep you cool. Why not try going to an Aquapark or go for a Submarine Safari.
