The weather has been cold and wet in Canary Islands. In Gran Canaria too, looking at the wet weather in the past few days has forced the authorities to postpone the Drag Queen Gala until Sunday.
Yesterday, February 18th was the coldest day of this winter in Lanzarote. The cold weather in Lanzarote has also played spoil sport for Carnival Programmes in Teguise and Tinajo.
Forecasts of snowfall by the AEMET have been met, with the first snowflakes falling in Izaña mountain top and around Mount Teide in Tenerife.
"Extreme Caution" for weather to be followed in the Canary Islands, according to the Cabildo de Gran Canaria.
Yellow alert for high winds has been predicted by the AEMET for Tuesday, 16th February 2016.
