Arrecife Carnival 2018 dates are also out and will take place from the 2nd to 14th February 2018. The Arrecife Carnival parade will take place on 12th February 2018 and burial of the sardine parade on Ash Wednesday 14th February 2018. You can also vote for the Arrecife Carnival theme till 17th July 2017. You can choose from four themes:
1: Caribbean Carnival:
If you want to get a picture of how carnivals are celebrated in the beautiful Caribbean islands like Trinidad, Curacao, Barbados, Dominican Republic and Jamaica then vote for this theme.
2: Enchanted / Fantasy Forest Carnival:
If you love fairy tales, with moving forests, fairies everywhere, and mythological characters, then vote for this theme.
3: Venetian Carnival:
Wearing a mask at carnivals was first introduced in Venice when people from the noble family used to wear masks to hide their identity while socialising with the commoners. Vote for this theme if you love to masks!!!!
4: Manrique Carnival:
César Manrique was a renowned artist from Lanzarote and what better way to pay tribute to him by showcasing his artistic work. Vote for this theme if you have or want to walk in the steps of César Manrique.
