The Canary Islands Day is celebrated on 30th May every year. It is a Public Holiday, to celebrate the island's' culture and people. On May 30, 1983, the autonomous Canary Islands Parliament's first session took place, and that is why the day is well celebrated in all of the Canary Islands

Following are the celebrations happening in Lanzarote and you can be part of all the cultural activities:

12: 00h.- Campus Opening

12: 15h.- Performance by Gabriel García timplista

13: 00h.- Folkloric Group Gaida

14: 00h.- Performance of the musical group Guágaro

19: 30h.- Performance by Los Sabandeños

21: 00h.- Close with Canaria background music

Monday, May 30

12: 00h.- Opening the enclosure and then Lucha Canaria with with senior Union Team South Fight Club Tias and Fight Club Guadarfía ( Arrecife

13: 00h.- Race jolateros in the El Poril

13: 30h.- Race Calanas in the El Poril

14: 00h.- Popular Asadero of rowers, bagels, cheese and wine country in collaboration with the Fishermen's Association of Tiñosa. And then children's games: sack race, spoon game, game chair ... in the Plaza del Varadero, Puerto del Carmen

Celebrations in Playa Blanca and Uga:

Playa Blanca and Uga welcome the festive program honoring the Canary Islands Day. With a mixture of folklore, sport and authentic culture activities, effort and work that represent the greatness of the Canary Islands.

Saturday, May 28th, 2:00 pm :

- Opening evening with Cattle show Uga and endless activities (workshops, camel ride and guided tours, etc.) involved in this show of support for the primary sector will remain open at the fairgrounds of Uga until Monday 30.

Sunday, May 29th, 9:00 pm :

- Playa Blanca meanwhile will host an attractive folk show at the Plaza del Carmen, decorated with tasting local produce, acts from groups Achamán Jóvenes Sabandeños, Raíces de Lanzarote and top dance with revelers of Salineros La Hoya directed by Benito Rodriguez. Achamán, founded in Tenerife 40 years ago, is considered the best groups in the artistic landscape of the Canary Islands for playing music of the Islands and Latin America.

Monday, May 30th,

- 10:00 am : The official ceremony will take place on the street limones de Playa Blanca where there will be flag hoisting and act by the Municipal Band.

- 12:00 pm : End of the official ceremony, exit the Island Sports Center and arrival at the coast of Playa Blanca de los barquillos (8,55 m).

The Canary Islands Day with be celebrated in the Municipal tent with performances by:
