This event is a must for long distance triathletes and it is integrated into the world circuit of the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC), get your traithlon training started.
SWIMMING: Distance 3.8 kms: The swim course takes place at Playa Grande, Puerto del Carmen, the main tourist resort of the island. It is a two-lap course with a short running passage between the two laps.
BIKE: Distance 180 kms: The bike course, well known for challenging athletes with strong winds, takes you all around the island with over 2551 m. of climbing. Participants will be able to enjoy amazing views and will have lots of support from volunteers along the way.
RUN: Finally, consisting of 3 laps, the run course leads one along the flat sea front of Puerto del Carmen, towards the airport and back. You will be able to enjoy beautiful views of the ocean under the intense Lanzarote sun, while feeling the impressive support of thousands of
spectators lining the streets.
There are 40 qualifying slots awarded for the IRONMAN World Championships.
Registrations for the event are OPEN. To register, you need to complete the online form and pay your entry fee in full by MasterCard or Visa. The entry fee is 450 euros* if you sign up before the 31st December 2014; the entry fee after that date will be 500 euros*(*plus 1 euro and 6.5% service charge).
