The Canary Islands will see a rainy weather on Saturday and Sunday, with up to 60 liters per square meter of rain in twelve hours and winds that could reach up to 70 kilometers per hour according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
The rains are likely to start on Saturday from 20.00 pm, with yellow alert for rain in La Palma, affecting mainly summits and north and west of the island, where you can record an accumulated precipitation in twelve hours of 60 mm. On Sunday there will be more intense rain in La Palma from 14:00 pm in the mountains and east and west of the island and strong wind speeds of 70 km / h.
Sunday will see yellow alert for rain and strong winds being extended to the rest of the Canary Islands. Thus, in El Hierro and La Gomera, from 03.00 am, rains could leave up to 15 liters per square meter in one hour.
Rain in Tenerife will begin at 03.00 hours on Sunday and will affect the north and metropolitan area, with 60 liters per square meter of rain in twelve hours, being less intense in the east, south and west of the island. There will also be strong winds up to 70 km / h.
In the eastern Canary Islands, on hilltops and north of Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura will have yellow warning from 09.00 am with rains that could leave up to 15 liters per square meter; in Lanzarote there will be rain in twelve hours with a total accumulation of 40 mm.
