CARNIVAL PROGRAM

Friday, January 29

18:30: Arrecife Carnival Proclamation 2016 by Alfonso Duro Cabezon. Departure from the las Cuatro Esquinas, with the participation of Villa Pipol, and arrival at Castillo de San Gabriel, with Salsa music by the orchestra.

Saturday, January 30

20:00: Opening of the exhibition "Life is Carnival in the House of Fear" (Charco de San Gines)

21:30: Gala Drag Queen at the el Recinto Ferial by the humorist Javicombé and performance of the group DKB dKuba.

Sunday, January 31

18:00: Children's Murgas Competition in la Carpa del Recinto Ferial with a musical performance by Andrea Luzardo and Ballet by Luis Miguel Aleman.

Monday, February 1

21:00: First phase of the XXVIII Contest of Murgas for adults in del Recinto Ferial. Participations by groups Los Tabletúos, Las Revoltosas, Los Titi Roys, Las Intoxicadas and Los Deshauciados.

Wednesday, February 3

21:00: Second phase of the XXVIII Contest of Murgas for adults in del Recinto Ferial. Participations by groups Los Tabletúos, Las Revoltosas, Los Titi Roys, Las Intoxicadas and Los Deshauciados. The evening will also feature the music of Juan Davila and his Tribute to Queen.

Thursday, February 4

10:30 am: School Carnival with parade from El Charco de San Ginés to the Real Street and back to Charco. The event will feature performances dela Charanga El Cribo and school groups of kindergarten and primary. Then there will be Zumba Master Class at the Charco de San Ginés own.

18:30: Traditional Carnival with parade from the Four Corners to La Plazuela, through the la Calle Real. Participation by Parranda Los Buches, Los Diabletes of Teguise and papahuevos, cabezudos and charanga.

21:00: First Meeting of the Comparsas in la Carpa del Recinto Ferial. Performances by Sur Caliente, Los Yaiseros y Los Cumbacheros.

Friday, February 5

09:30 am: School Parade in the vicinity of the nursery and primary school.

21:00: End of the XXVIII Contest of Murgas for adults in del Recinto Ferial. Murgas finalists participate in it. The evening will feature a musical performance by The Vega.

Saturday, February 6

12:00: Parade of Batucadas and Comparsas from el Reducto to the Park Canary Islands. Then there will be the Carnival Porteño starring Dj Angel Perez, ABBA The Gold Experience, Treintytantos and Rikabanda.

12:00: Tapas Fair Carnival in front of the Puente de Las Bolas. An act by Joe's Band with Roxy and DJ Maxi.

17:00: Dance Senior Mascaritas at the Civic Center Arrecife.

Sunday, February 7

18:00: Infant and Children Costume Party Contest at the el Recinto Ferial.

Monday, February 8

18:00: Big parade of floats from la Ciudad Deportiva to el Recinto Ferial along la Vía Medular. Participation by murgas, batucadas, comparsa and mascaritas..

Tuesday, February 9

11:30 am: Carnival for Children in la Carpa del Recinto Ferial.

17:00: Casting of " Live your talent 2016" in La Recova..

Wednesday, February 10

19:00: Burial of the Sardine from the Canary Islands to the Maritime Park with street musicians, parades, batucadas, floats and mascaritas doloridas.
