Puerto Del Carmen, also popularly known as PDC is the main tourist town of Lanzarote, with a very pleasant weather averaging 24°C. It is just 15 minutes away from the airport.
Puerto Del Carmen has hundreds of bars, restaurants and shops along the beach front, it is great for daily family life and a great night life too. It also has many great beaches, both small and large with crystal clear waters.
SolyMar is situated overlooking the Los Pocillios Beach. Sammy, the owner is very friendly. The restaurant is great for english breakfast, lunch menu and evening meal with entertainment.
Fantastic and plenty of English breakfast. Starter of Canarian potatoes with the sauces, garlic prawns and the steak are the nicest ever. The fresh fish of the day is perfectly cooked. Fillet steak is done to perfection. The spaghetti bolognese is an excellent one to try out. The Brandy Chicken is a huge portion but delicious. Steak with a blue cheese sauce is a good one to try and is cooked perfectly.
Has good selection of alcohol too. A local liquer called Ron Miel is offered on the house after dinner. Strawberry daiquiri is one of the best here.
