Have fresh fish and succulent steaks for breakfast, lunch, dinner

El Ancla is a great place to have breakfast, lunch and dinner, ideally located on the corner of the harbour, overlooking the sea with great views to watch the fishing boats coming and going. Love the setting, with a charismatic building and old world feel of this place, you can also see the locals play bowls beside in the evenings.

The menu offers good choice of steaks, pasta, fish and pizza so would suit families. Their full menu is scrumptous with the typical Canarian cuisine and of course a full English breakfast & club sandwich, both of which are really nice, good size portions too. Their succulent and amazing steaks can be had for lunch or dinner. If you have a sweet tooth, then the desserts with sparklers are the highlight of your meal.

Don't forget to try their perfectly tasty Lamb chops, Chicken kebabs cooked perfectly with peppers and onions, absolutely delicious Pasta with garlic and prawns, really good large Tuna pieces, Beef strogonoff, home made Lasagne, sizzling, delicious and beautifully cooked in a ceramic pot. Canarian potatoes and the chauteuxbriand are not to be missed. The mixed Tapas are freshly cooked, well presented and very tasty. Their very well made pizza can be a hit with the kids.

Their seafood menu is definitely worth trying, fresh hand made Fish pizza, the food is cooked fresh, especially an excellent sea food platter with fresh fish just caught that day, scrumptous King prawns and garlic prawns.

On a lovely sunny day you could also sit outside (also work on your suntan). Who can complaint about their lovely fresh sangria - Spanish drink of red wine mixed with lemonade, fruit, and spices.

In the evenings, a soloist plays the guitar and sings a few well known songs which makes the ambience equally special. A good choice if you need a little hustle and bustle or in need of a sea view. Staff are very courteous and helpful.
