Puente de las bolas (Bridge balls) in Arrecife, Lanzarote is famous for two castles, San Gabriel and San Jose.
To reach the first San Gabriel castle one has to cross a well known landmark, Puente de las Bolas or Bridge of Balls. It was so named because the two columns hold the drawbridge which has round balls on the top.
