It is a good place for watersports and surfing rather than swimming. But if you want to swim around then there is a natural pool suitable for swimming, just a little walk away. This pool was formed by underground cracks through which water seeps from the sea.
The name of this beach is after the red mountain which shelters the beach.
There is also "Los Hervideros" which is an attractive place to watch waves break against the rocks.
