Lanzarote is a place where you can never get bored in, there are lots of things you can do in Lanzarote.

Castillo de Santa Barbara also called Castillo de Guanapay is located on Mount Guanapay overlooking the town of Teguise. The castle was built in the 16th Century as a watchtower from pirates by D. Sanco de Herrera on orders from King Felipe II.

The castle in Santa Barbara was restored in 1989 and is now a history museum named the Emigrants Museum. You can walk through the history of citizens of Lanzarote who migrated to America in the 17th - 19th Century and how the Canarians formed the town of San Antonio in Texas and families which were ordered to leave for South America.
