The Carnival comes to Lanzarote, the days will be full of fun and a party atmosphere on the streets. Here are the dates and times foir the main parades.

The Carnival in Teguise and Costa Teguise atleast have the them going - it's the "Amazon Rainforest".
The Carnival will go through Teguise, Costa Teguise, Nazaret, Tahiche and Famara.

Puerto Del Carmen is a popular spot for all beach lovers, not only because of the beautiful blue waters and plenty of heavenly sunshine, but also since their celebrations of the Carnival is simply superb.
This year Puerto Del Carmen is going all out with "The Enchanted Forest Theme" from 19th February till 22nd February 2015 and so the Programme for the exciting week is still not official but glancing at last year's programme, the schedule this year could look something like this:
19th February,Thursday :
The Carnival begins at 20:30 pm with the performance by the top three Murgas (musical performance where a group of singers tell stories) in the Plaza del Varadero (located in the old town harbour, where most events are held)
20th February, Friday :
Grand Carnival Show in the Plaza del Varadero begins at 20:30 pm with performances by the Comparsas (Percussion Dance Groups) “Sur Caliente”, “Yaiceros” ,“Cumbacheros” and the Charanga (small musical band) group “Los Gruñones”. Later enjoy the Verbenas (open air dances) accompanied by the group “Los Conejeros” and foot tapping music by DJ Ángel Pérez.
21st February, Saturday :
This you must not miss!!!! the Grand Carnival Parade, which starts at 17:00 pm starting from Barcarola and finishing at the Fariones Playa Hotel, Playa Grande along the Avenida de las Playas.
Verbena Entertainment starts at 21:00 pm in the Plaza del Varadero, groove along with groups “Kimera Band” and “Banda Nueva” with DJ Barni Granados.
22nd February, Sunday :
At 11:00 am it's time your kids let their hair down and have fun at the Children’s Carnival with inflatable play, workshops and entertainment from the children’s Murgas in the Plaza del Varadero.
At Noon (12:00 pm) the last leg of the Carnival takes place with singers Pepe Benavente, Rafael Flores - “El Morocho” fame and a performance from Comparsa “Sur Caliente”.

Haria Carnival 2015 will take place from 26th to 28th February, with the theme 'Tribe of Africa'. The poster design for the carnival have been undertaken by Northern artist Jaime Romero.
Like previous years, the north of the island will see very good turnout of crowd and participants. Over a weekend, the celebration of the Carnival of Haria will see floats, costumes, humor and lots and lots of fun.

Thursday, February 26
-17: 30h Carnival Party of the Seniors in the Centre of Socio Cultural of La Tegala of Haria. A bus will pass through the villages, starting at 16: 30h., To pick up older people who have already enrolled in the Seniors Center.
-19: 30h.- Inauguration of the photography exhibition "Design Carnival" by Jaime Romero in the showroom "The Cistern" Haria.
Friday, February 27
-09: 30h.- Coso Carnival / alumni / aces of CEIP San Juan of Haria, from the school to the Plaza of Haria.
-10: 15h.- Coso Carnival / alumni / aces of CEIP La Garita of Arrieta through the streets of the town.
-17: 30h.- Children's Party will see performance by School of Latin Dance "El Norte Dance", clowns and costume parade in the Centre Cultural La Tegala of Haria.
-22:00h Grand Festival Carnavalero starring Manny Manuel, Danny Romero, the Combo Dominicano, Güira America and Suso and Family in the Plaza of Haria.
Saturday February 28
-12: 30h.- Murgas will perform and music by the Dj Maxi Ferrer will enthrall the audience in the solar annex at the Plaza of Haria site. Attendees can enjoy tapas at 1 €.
-18: 00h.- Grand Carnival Parade with floats, bands, batucadas, parades and a large number of masqueraders from the parking lots of the cemetery to the Plaza of Haria.
-21: 30h.- "Zumba Fitness Concert Carnival" with Fernando Petit and Oliver Martin accompanied by musicians of "Rikabanda" in the Plaza of Haria.
-22: 30h.- Grand popular verbana with the orchestra "Suso and Family" of Lanzarote and the "Güira Latina" group of Gran Canaria of the Plaza of Haria. At the same time performance of D'js Furre and Juanjos in the solar annex of the Plaza site.
On March 1st the "Music Marathon Carnival" will be held on Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen, where music and sports will join to give us another edition of Music Marathon to celebrate the end of the Carnival in the town of Tias. The event will be from 10:00 to 16:00 hours.

-09:30 Start of children's race with ages from 4-9 years old - 800 m. Parents can run with their child. Directed by police ahead.
-09:45 Start of children's race with ages from 10 to 15 years - 1600 m. Directed by police ahead.

Wednesday 4th MARCH
16.30 pm to 19.30 pm - Learn to make recycled masks at this workshop in the Parish Hall organized by the Department of Youth.
Thursday 5th MARCH
18:00 pm to 22:00 pm - Fiesta Carnival for Elders in the Social Hall.
Friday 6th MARCH
18:00 pm to 20:30 pm - Parade with Batucadas, Cabezudos, Juggling, Budión, ... in the course of it, will be held a contest of making recycled masks organized by the Department of Youth, departure from the grounds of the festivals.
21:00pm - In the Social Hall of Tinajo, Carnival Gala involving the Tunantonas murga, the School of Modern Dance Tinajo, Comparsa the gala Cumbacheros and Drag Queens. Then Verbena popular with the orchestra and band crossing Rika Group, on the premises which is located at the rear of the Parish Hall. In the course of the same will be done the Shroud Contest with prizes for best individual costume, couple and group.
Saturday 7th MARCH
12:00 pm - Parade dogs for adoption. Canine Costume Contest; Put your furry in their finery, have fun with us and win great prizes (entry € 3 the same day).
17:00 pm - Gathering and departure of the floats from the Plaza de los Dolores.
19:00pm - Grand parade of floats from the football field to the Plaza de San Roque, with Troupes, Lees, Batucadas ... Then Verbena Popular, where the group Atlantis Swing, Swing Group, Band and Orchestra Chimera DJ Angel Perez perform.
Sunday 8th MARCH
11:00 am - Carrera Solidarity Mascaritas, the profits will go to the AFOL association.
12:30 pm - Carnival Day for families to enjoy for children and adults. Exhibition of the Municipal School of Gymnastics Tinajo and Kids entertainment company by Naily. Children's costume contest and adults can also enjoy performance by Batuca Woman batucada and the quartet Swing Group.
14:15 pm - Deliberation costume contest.

Saturday 14TH MARCH
Party on the occasion of International Women's Day. There will be lunch and dancing at the Monument of Campesino. Information and registration at the House of Culture in the department of Department of Women until 11th March.
The Carnival fever is still going on and if you have missed being a part of the carnivals, then this is your chance, at the Costa Teguise arnival 2015, from 6th March till 8th March. The theme for the carnival is The Amazon Rainforest, and it's already popular poster of a mutant anaconda and Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe church in La Villa de Teguise is definately a motivation to be there.

6th March, Friday:
16.30 pm : Kids between 3-12 years can have a good time at the Carnival workshop at the Civic Centre. (Fragata Street, Costa Teguise)
20.30 pm : Avenida Islas Canarias in front of the Pueblo Marinero square will hold a musical gala with Murgas (musical groups) participating like Bentchey, Menuda Caña, Merekumbé, Cumbacheros, Ladys Golosinas, Ensalitrados and Diabletes.
22.30 pm : The popular orchestra Grupo Swing will make sure you dance all night in open air on their foot tapping music, at Avenida Islas Canarias in front of the Pueblo Marinero.
7th March, Saturday:
11.00 am : Kids will thoroughly enjoy the participation of children’s street band at the Children's party on Avenida Islas Canarias in front of the Pueblo Marinero Square.
12:00 pm : Participate and enjoy the Carnival Race and if you have kids, they can run along with you. If not you could also participate in other activities held at the same time at Apartments Santa Rosa, Costa Teguise.
18:00 pm : The Grand Carnival Parade will take place from Sands Beach Hotel reaching the intersection of Avenida del Jablillo, All along Avenida Islas Canarias. Have a go at the Zumba exhibition presented by “Opción a la Mareta” at the end of the parade.
22:00 pm - 04:00 am : Party away at the Carnival Parade festival and open air dance with the orchestras Rika Band and Lágrimas Negras at Avenida Islas Canarias in front of the Pueblo Marinero Square.
Sunday 8th March
11:00 am : The Carnival Parade continues through the main streets of the Sunday market in Teguise, a good time to also go on a shopping spree while you are at it !!!

- 23:00 hrs. ADULT COSTUME CONTEST in single categories, partner and group on the Esplanade Pier.
SATURDAY 14th MARCH
- 11:00 hrs. Children MURGAS performance AND music by DJ to add the fun, on the Esplanade Pier.
- 18:00 hrs. COSO carnival from the Socio-Cultural Center, then GROUP PERFORMANCE at the Esplanade and Pier.
SUNDAY 15th MARCH
- 18:00 hrs. The burial of the sardine from the Esplanade Pier then Display OF PHOTOS, DJ AND ASADERO in Varadero Society.
The Yaiza Carnival dates and programme are not confirmed.
The carnival will pass through Yaiza, Playa Blanca, Uga, Fémes and El Golfo.
